The design and organization of the new entrance to the maternity hospital on the territory of the Republican Hospital complex in Yerevan was a highly significant project. It required providing a bold solution within the existing environment and the working infrastructure. As a consequence, the idea of “starting everything from a blank page” emerged. In front of the entrance to the maternity hospital, the outline of the front entrance was drawn like a white page, from which a curved crack opened up the entrance to that new page, new solutions, and new changes. Creating a welcoming and attractive atmosphere for visitors, especially children, was crucial to alleviating the fear of hospital visits. Colorful and bright corridors, accents of wooden furniture, and rest islands were combined with vegetation and various graphic works painted and written in pastel colors. These elements established a fresh and innovative environment of modern hospital infrastructure.
